I know that Yes Man evidently has some recorded lines that seems to suggest that he was a companion at some point (I've at least heard him go "You're a killer!" when I shot Alerio). Having a House-sympathetic character like Victor would be great. Then again, his ending could have simply ended with the implication that he plans to betray the Courier after they conquered Vegas. Maybe Benny was meant to be different, but I highly doubt that he would settle for anything other than having himself on top and that trusting him is a really bad idea.

Naturally this all got cut fairly early into development, but it does seem to go someway towards explaining Benny's total disappearance from the game, should you choose to free him from Caesar.Īnyway, I thought this would be an interesting little nugget to put out there the series as a whole is full of concepts that never quite made it (the S'Lanter, the EPA, Vault 24, the Abbey, House/Brotherhood peace etc.), and I thought the idea of these guys was pretty interesting. This came up after Chris was talking about how Ulysses was intended to act as a Caesar's Legion-sympathetic companion to balance out the Independence/NCR-heavy group of companions.
